Application Example:
• Internal Freewheel FDN 40 CFR (standard type with bearing support) is used as an overrunning clutch on the shaft end of the main drive in a textile machine
• During normal operation (freewheeling mode), the inner ring overruns while the gear wheel and outer ring remain stationary
• During setup, the machine is driven at low speed by the auxiliary drive, which transmits motion via the gear wheel and the freewheel operating in driving mode
Mounting:
• Internal Freewheels FDN (standard type) are supplied without bearing support
• The permissible runout (T.I.R.) must be strictly observed to ensure correct operation
• To achieve the specified torque ratings, the outer ring must be installed in a housing with external diameter K
• The housing should be made of steel or grey cast iron, with a minimum grade of GG-20
• The housing bore tolerance (D) must comply with ISO P6
• The shaft tolerance must comply with ISO h6 or j6
• The permissible operating temperature range for the freewheel is -40 °C to +80 °C
Lubrication:
• An oil lubrication of the specified quality must be provided
