Other salient points to be noted:

The TPS nomenclature designates Timken’s premium line of Thrust Cylindrical Roller Bearing with Self-Aligning Washer .

  • Optimized Rolling Motion:  Designed with two to three cylindrical rollers per cage pocket to promote true rolling motion and effectively prevent roller skewing, ensuring a longer lifespan and smoother operation.

  • Self-Aligning Capability:  Features a spherically ground washer that seats smoothly against an aligning ring. This innovative design makes the entire bearing assembly highly adaptable to initial structural misalignments.

  • High-Quality Construction:  Built with the legendary reliability of Timken engineering, functioning similarly to Type TP bearings but with the added benefit of alignment flexibility.

Important Usage Guidelines

Please Note:  While excellent for initial setup corrections, the TPS bearing is not recommended for operating conditions where alignment is dynamic or constantly changing. It performs best in environments with static alignment once installed.
